Rooted in the Sierra Nevada
Reminiscent Winery is a boutique estate nestled on a 20-acre property in the western slope of Northern California’s Sierra Nevada. Seven acres are devoted to vineyards, while the rest of the land features open space and a forest of Pine, Cedar, and Fir trees that contribute to the unique terroir.
The region experiences hot summer days, cool nights, and wet winters with occasional frost—ideal conditions for growing wine grapes. The vineyards thrive in granite-rich, mineral-dense soil, which naturally nourishes the vines and produces fruit of exceptional concentration and flavor.
Murray Davis, a semi-retired Los Angeles businessman, purchased the property in 2010. Since acquiring the estate, the annual harvest of 12-15 tons of renowned grapes have been sold exclusively to select Napa Valley wineries. To maintain the vineyard’s high standards, Murray employed a professional viticulturist with more than 40 years of experience in vineyard management.
Three varietals are grown on the estate: Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, planted in 2003, and Grenache, added in 2020.
In 2025, a nationwide decline in wine consumption led Napa buyers to discontinue their purchases. Anticipating the shifting market as early as 2023, Murray began crafting his own wines. Embracing a European style approach to vineyard management, he transitioned to relying solely on natural rainfall for irrigation. While this reduced yields by half, it significantly intensified the flavor and quality of the grapes, ideal for crafting unique, exceptional wines.
